BEIJING, March 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers are busy pollinating cherry blossoms in the cherry greenhouses of Qicun Town, Shizhong District in Zaozhuang City, east China's Shandong Province, paving the way for a bumper harvest this year.

The district has scaled up greenhouse cherry cultivation by adopting a "cooperative + farmer" model, which has significantly improved management efficiency and boosted farmers' incomes.

The agricultural department of Shizhong District has introduced advanced pollination techniques and high-quality cherry varieties such as Huangmi and Meizao. In addition, experts have been invited to teach farmers about flower thinning, pest control, etc., further enhancing the quality and competitiveness of their cherries.

Through science-based management and technical support, the cherry industry has become a key driver of rural revitalization.

With pollination efforts well underway, greenhouse cherries are expected to hit the market by mid-April.
