Investing.com -- According to a Tuesday report by the Wall Street Journal, multiple U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department, were monitoring visits by foreign nationals to properties owned by Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk. The surveillance was reportedly conducted due to concerns about potential attempts to influence the tech billionaire.

The investigation, which was carried out in 2022 and 2023, specifically tracked visitors from Eastern Europe and other regions. The report did not provide further details about the nature of the concerns that prompted the surveillance or the outcomes of the investigation.
